Contracts have become increasingly important as Japanese business becomes more global. Contracts in Japanese have grown longer and more complicated under the influence of English contracts. Our lawyer, Masaki Yoshino, who studied at Cambridge University and University of Chicago Law School and passed the NY State Bar Examination, has extensive experience and expertise reviewing, drafting and negotiating English and Japanese contracts for M&A, joint ventures, alliances, intellectual property, international trade, real estate, construction, employment, sporting events and other matters.

Yoshino also has extensive experience and expertise in dispute resolution in IP matters including patents, copyrights and trademarks; corporate law including shareholder and director claims; employment law relating to dismissal and sexual harassment; and other specific areas including system development and real estate. We will also provide a second opinion about dispute resolution involving publicly listed companies in Japan.

We provide proposals and direction promptly at client request.
